Since 1990, World On Communications has created over 80 video guides on different and evocative places in the world.Now, these video guides and their information form the basis of a new set of applications for Android devices.Each app is divided into 3 parts:- Map- Information tab- Video clipsThis "Norway - The Lofoten Islands - 2" app is one of the series of guide-apps dedicated to the immense natural and cultural heritage of Northern Norway.
In the video we will follow the route Røst - Vaerøy - Reinesfiord - Bunesfjiorden.TOURIST INFORMATION%3c%2fbr%3eGeographically Lofoten is located about 60 miles north-west from the Norwegian coast, bordering the archipelago of Vesterålen which we will appreciate in some dedicated app-guides, and geopolitically they are included in the RegionCounty of Norland.
The Lofoten Islands are also famous for the high quantity of cod that populates the area for which every year is the scene of the "Lofotfiske", an incomparable cod fishing competition for commercial purposes with a duration and strict rules to be respected.ITINERARYAfter a short tour of the remote island of Røst we embark for Moskenes.
The ferry also makes a short stop at the island of Vaerøy, famous for the small hill that dominates the entire island and is home to numerous seabird colonies.
Continuing navigation, after about a couple of hours you reach Moskenes and from here, you can choose whether to stay overnight in Reine or in some other location.
For our itinerary we have chosen to base ourselves in Å.
Early the following morning we took advantage of a passage on the small boat which, while distributing the mail in the tiny towns of the fjord, allows tourists to enjoy unforgettable views.
Additionally, one can disembark on Bunes Island for up-close bird watching or take a short trek.
In the early afternoon the boat will return to pick you up when it returns with some inhabitants who had gone to Reine or to carry the errands requested by the few inhabitants.It could be considered an exclusive service that is not mentioned in the various catalogues, but it is cheaper and in our opinion even more interesting.This app is independent from the other titles and works in all its parts without the need for an internet connection.
It doesnt use sensors or geolocation tracking software, so it wont guide you from your home to the destinations in the video.
